Making India Healthy by Giving Access to Personal Hygiene for Underpriviledged

With over one billion citizens, India is the world’s second most populous country. And even today, a vast majority of this one billion lacks access to basic hygiene and sanitation.

According to the World Bank, 21% of communicable diseases are linked with improper hygiene practices and unsafe water.  Moreover, over 500 children under the age of five die each day from diarrhoea. Despite the increased awareness about basic hygiene practices like washing hands with soap and drinking potable water only, a majority of villages and rural areas lack access to the necessary hygiene products.

Another area of concern when it comes to hygiene is menstruation. A 2014 report by the NGO Dasra discovered that nearly 23 million girls drop out of school each year when they start menstruating.

The subject of menstruation is still considered taboo by much of the population, with no proper menstrual education in schools and a widespread lack of easy access to sanitary products. This not only deepens the stigma attached to menstruation but also puts women and girls at greater risk of infection and disease due to insufficient menstrual hygiene.

One of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN is clean water and sanitation for all by 2030. This is undoubtedly an ambitious goal, but with the right efforts, it is achievable.

A significant contribution can come from private donors like you. Donors whose money goes directly to your chosen causes and helps the underprivileged obtain the hygiene products they need and deserve.

And that’s where Letsallhelp.org plays a big role.

We believe that every citizen of India deserves access to healthy food and personal hygiene supplies whenever they need them. We are on a mission to help close that gap between demand and supply by creating a transparent online donation platform where donors can choose the cause they want to help and donate food and hygiene products directly to the beneficiaries.

Unlike other platforms, we are a zero-fees system, which means that every rupee you give goes directly to the people in need of it and we offer a delivery proof.  We believe that product quality is key when it comes to donating to the needy. That’s why we’ve partnered with BigBasket, Metro Cash N Carry and various regional companies to ensure that the food and hygiene products we buy with your donations are the same quality as those you would purchase for yourself.

We believe in 100% transparency, so you get proof of every step of the process, from the purchase of food and hygiene products like dal, rice, soap, sanitary napkins to their final delivery to those who need them.

We’ve simplified the donation process so that you can donate today and know that you’re making a difference right away.

Get the satisfaction of knowing that an orphanage has access to soaps and diapers thanks to your generosity. Or that 100 women can enjoy a dignified period thanks to you.

And it feels good to know that.

Let us help you make the right decision today for a brighter tomorrow.

Donate now. It feels good.
